You trade really well in lane with blast off, one proxy+stasis can turn around gank for your squishy mid (think Zeus vs void spirit), and you force their supports to spend gold on sentries just by existing. So I just finished a solo ranked game as Invoker after coming to the realization that ranked is most likely biased towards the mid role. Techies is probably the most gamechanging hero in dota.
