The reclamation probe will list a variety of rare items, such as DNA strands, upgrade modules, and treasure. You awake in a damaged space station, in a strange solar system populated with other factions that have formed alliances, colonized worlds, and developed new technologies. The player must select one of these items to keep before the probe will go out to search for it. Treasure on mining expeditions can usually be found on the ship, or in the storage on the base, if the colonists have unloaded it. The value of the item will appear in the upper right-hand corner of a new text box. The player does not need to select “mine.” Instead, click outside the text box, and then hover over the treasure listed for that asteroid or planet under “resources” on the right-hand side of the screen. To see how much a treasure is worth, click on an asteroid or planet.
